Job summary

Ultra Maritime seeks team members to assemble critical defense components using hand and power tools. You will learn the craft on the job, delivering precision in a collaborative environment where every part matters.

Shifts run Monday–Thursday, 5:00 pm–3:30 am with possible overtime on Fridays. Starting pay is $21.90 per hour, with raises at 6 and 12 months to $22.40 and $23.75 respectively, and potential eligibility for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or legally authorized to obtain government approvals per contract requirements.

Position Summary

Be part of a team producing advanced defense products that protect our nation and allies worldwide. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on with a variety of hand and power tools to assemble and sub‑assemble critical components, learning the craft through on‑the‑job training that builds your expertise.

Job Description
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • 1+ years of warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Due to U.S. government contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or otherwise legally authorized to obtain the necessary government approvals.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to distinguish component colors and wiring (color vision required).
  • Proficient in using hand tools and small parts assembly.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet production goals.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Work well with others in team setting
  • Ability to cross train and rotate jobs often
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
  • Regular movement may include :Frequent bending, stretching, lifting, walking, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to:

  • Requires use of hands for fine motor tasks and assembly.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility and work in various positions (kneeling, crouching, reaching, etc.).
  • Visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent collaboration in a team‑based setting.
  • Occasional exposure (10%–33%) to noise, dust, chemicals, and machinery.
  • Job involves repetitive tasks, concentration on small components, and hand/eye coordination.
