Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Assembler Level 3-Semi Rigid at our Lansdale, PA facility to assemble complex components and modules with precision, supporting manufacturing operations and quality standards.

You will follow prints and process sheets, use soldering and hand tools, and verify conformance. The role reports to the Sr ISC Production Supervisor and is on-site, with opportunities to advance in a defense/aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ assembler experience.
• 2 years’ soldering experience (J-Std).
• Able to interpret process sheets, prints or route cards and technical drawings (ECOs, PRNs).
• Knowledge of machine shop equipment (drill press, lathes, Bridgeport).
• Ability to use hand and measuring tools; microscope when required.
• US Citizenship required for contractual reasons.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies and modules from samples, prints and routing instructions using tooling and machinery.
• Assembles parts using solder, fasteners and adhesives for electronic builds.
• Verifies results and performs rework to meet specifications.
• Performs mechanical assembly using standard measuring tools and techniques.
• Performs wire termination, harness installation and component soldering.
• Preps, sands and finishes parts; cleans assemblies per Work Instructions.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job description

As an Assembler Level 3-Semi Rigid here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in assembling complex components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring high quality standards are met to support our manufacturing operations.

You will report directly to our Sr ISC Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Lansdale, PA location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall production quality and efficiency by applying your advanced assembly skills and knowledge to meet production targets and maintain product integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies and modules by working from samples, visual aids, prints, routing instructions and process sheets using appropriate tooling and machinery.
• Assembles parts using solder, fasteners and adhesives in the build-up of electronic assemblies.
• Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed.
• Performs mechanical assembly operations in the build of electronic assemblies using standard measuring tools and techniques.
• Performs electronic assembly operations such as wire termination, and installation of wire harness, cable assemblies, relays, transformers, capacitors, resistors or other electronic components.
• Bonding and honing (sanding, polishing and grit blasting) of parts in preparation of installing and finishing assembly. Cleaning parts and electronic assemblies per Work Instructions.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 2-4 years’ experience working as an assembler
• 2 years’ soldering experience (JStandard)
• Able to interpret and understand instructions on process sheets, prints or route cards and technical drawings (i.e. ECO’s, parts lists and PRN’s).
• Knowledgeable in the use of machine shop equipment such as drill press, lathes, Bridgeport machines.
• Ability to use hand tools (cutter, pliers, forming tools, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Ability to use measurement tools such as scales, micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to identify, form and mount components
• Ability to use microscope for an extended period of time during shift.
• Ability to prep, crimp and set-up tools for conductors
• US Citizenship-Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

WE VALUE

• Assembly experience in a defense contractor, aerospace, or the military environment with an emphasis on antenna products preferable.
• Soldering experience should be current; current JCERT preferable
• Ability to produce fixturing if necessary for prototype and pre-production applications.
• Must achieve specified solder certification in various assembly/soldering techniques per Company and customer standards and perform basic hand soldering tasks.
• High School diploma (or equivalent)
