Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Assembler Level 3-Semi Rigid at our Lansdale, PA facility. You will assemble electronic components and modules from samples, prints, and routing instructions, ensuring quality and efficiency in a on-site environment.

Reporting to the Sr ISC Production Supervisor, you will use soldering, hand tools, and measuring instruments to build and verify assemblies, perform rework as needed, and support production targets while maintaining product integrity.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years’ assembler experience.
  • 2 years’ soldering experience (JStandard).
  • Ability to read process sheets, prints or ECOs/PRNs.
  • Experience with drill presses, lathes and Bridgeport machines.
  • Ability to use hand tools and measurement tools.
  • US Citizenship required due to contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies and modules per instructions.
  • Solder, fasteners and adhesives in the build-up of electronic assemblies.
  • Verify conformance and perform rework as needed.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using measuring tools.
  • Wire termination and installation of wire harnesses, relays, transformers and other components.
  • Bonding and finishing prep work; cleaning parts as per instructions.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job description

As an Assembler Level 3-Semi Rigid here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in assembling complex components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring high quality standards are met to support our manufacturing operations.

You will report directly to our Sr ISC Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Lansdale, PA location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall production quality and efficiency by applying your advanced assembly skills and knowledge to meet production targets and maintain product integrity.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembles electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies and modules by working from samples, visual aids, prints, routing instructions and process sheets using appropriate tooling and machinery.
  • Assembles parts using solder, fasteners and adhesives in the build-up of electronic assemblies.
  • Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed.
  • Performs mechanical assembly operations in the build of electronic assemblies using standard measuring tools and techniques.
  • Performs electronic assembly operations such as wire termination, and installation of wire harness, cable assemblies, relays, transformers, capacitors, resistors or other electronic components.
  • Bonding and honing (sanding, polishing and grit blasting) of parts in preparation of installing and finishing assembly. Cleaning parts and electronic assemblies per Work Instructions.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2-4 years’ experience working as an assembler
  • 2 years’ soldering experience (JStandard)
  • Able to interpret and understand instructions on process sheets, prints or route cards and technical drawings (i.e. ECO's, parts lists and PRN's).
  • Knowledgeable in the use of machine shop equipment such as drill press, lathes, Bridgeport machines.
  • Ability to use hand tools (cutter, pliers, forming tools, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as scales, micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to identify, form and mount components
  • Ability to use microscope for an extended period of time during shift.
  • Ability to prep, crimp and set-up tools for conductors
  • US Citizenship-Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
We Value
  • Assembly experience in a defense contractor, aerospace, or the military environment with an emphasis on antenna products preferable.
  • Soldering experience should be current; current JCERT preferable
  • Ability to produce fixturing if necessary for prototype and pre-production applications.
  • Must achieve specified solder certification in various assembly/soldering techniques per Company and customer standards and perform basic hand soldering tasks.
  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
