This on-site position supports production lines and equipment maintenance teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As an Assembly Mechanic, you will work under direct supervision, follow established guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement in assembly processes.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship or formal training may be required.
• 0–2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in mechanical assembly.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow established guidelines.

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Assembler - Level 1, in Tempe, AZ.

As an Assembly Mechanic, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Responsibilities include identifying worn or damaged parts, ordering replacements, and ensuring all machinery operates correctly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly: Construct and assemble mechanical components to meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintenance & Testing: Perform routine maintenance and conduct tests to verify functionality and safety.
• Part Identification: Detect parts requiring replacement due to wear or malfunction.
• Order Management: Place orders for new parts as needed to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship or formal training may be required.
• 0–2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in mechanical assembly.

Special Considerations

Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 30 lbs without significant repetition.

Exposure: Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological agents, and physical risks.

Equipment: May operate powered industrial trucks (classified as industrial or heavy depending on exposure).
