Assembler - Larson - Seasonal - 2nd Shift

• Part-time
• Department: Production

The Assembler will assemble metal products, such as doors and windows, either partially or completely. Responsibilities include cutting and punching wood and metal materials for assembly, as well as processing various sizes and styles of soft plate glass. The role involves working on the shop floor by performing the duties outlined below.

Typical Areas of Performance:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as determined by the company.

• Position and assemble parts according to product knowledge or by following established processes or procedures.
• Fasten parts together with clinching presses, screws, rivets, or other fasteners. Use glue to laminate wood with other materials.
• Operate drill presses, sawing equipment, punch presses, laminating, riveting machines, and other equipment to assist in assembly operations.
• Perform quality checks on products manufactured and occasionally check the work of others.
• Utilize required safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to eliminate or reduce workplace hazards.
• Operate equipment within safety guidelines and report any nonconformance.
• Train other workers in skills acquired in the performance of the job.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and follow Larson security policies.
• Abide by all Larson policies.
• Participate in rotation for most job assignments.
• Be willing to move to other work groups and hours as needed to meet staffing requirements and customer demands.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions from production standards, memos, or other correspondence.
• Write simple instructions or correspondence as needed.
• Maintain courteous relations and good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
