Eaton is seeking an Assembler IV - Wire/Pre-Wire for 2nd shift in El Paso, TX. The role involves wiring and assembling components for electrical control equipment, with a 4:00pm–12:45am shift and a starting hourly rate of $20.66 plus $1 shift differential.

A variable incentive plan may apply. Required: one of several paths including electrical wiring experience, a related technical degree, or Connectors I & II certifications with 1 year as an Assembler III.

Qualifications

• Must have ONE of the following: 1 year electrical wiring experience, a technical degree, or Connectors I & II cert with 1 year as Assembler III.
• Ability to work in El Paso, TX within 50 miles for eligibility (no relocation).
• Shift: 2nd; eligible for incentive plan and hourly rate plus $1 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or wire switchboards' electrical wiring according to drawings and wiring schematics.
• Use tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers.

The hourly rate for this position is$20.66 plus $1 shift differential per hour.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.

Position Overview:

The Assembler IV is responsible for a wide range of skills including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions.

In this function you will:

• Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Use various tools, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers to assemble switchboards' electrical wiring.
• Handle materials following established procedures.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.
• Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required.
• Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned
• Flexing into other functions of the business

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must meetONE of the following qualifications:
  • 1 year of electrical wiring experience OR
  • A completed technical degree in a related field OR
  • Connectors I & II certifications AND 1 year of experience as an Assembler III

Preferred:

• 2+ years of wiring experience
• 2+ years of assembly experience
• Experience working in wiring assembly
