Assembler - Industrial Refrigeration Units - 2nd Shift
Job Description:
- Assemble package units on 2nd shift.
- Training on 1st shift with transition to 2nd shift upon completion.
- Starting rate is $28.51/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium after moving to 2nd shift.
- Complete assembly of complex standard products, following prescribed procedures and methods, including tubing layout, bending, or sawing pipes as needed.
- Mount motors onto packages.
- Use power and hand tools, along with measuring devices, to ensure accurate fitting and alignment according to blueprints/drawings and pass test requirements.
- Set up and level unit bases using laser levels.
- Install perimeter angles, reconnect internal and external components, walls, roofs, and roof trims with minimal supervision.
- Perform quality caulking, following construction manuals for appropriate applications.
- Verify correct components are installed in units.
- Access drawings via Shop Floor Viewer as needed.
- Retrieve work and operating instructions from MMIB manual when required.
- Detect and report unusual conditions or defects in materials or parts.
- Prepare packages for shipping by applying tags for identification.
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
- Handle materials necessary for the job.
- Maintain and record labor, production, and quality data.
- Keep work area and equipment clean and safe, adhering to 5S standards.
- Participate in team activities such as Kaizen events, 5S programs, and problem-solving exercises.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and JHRA guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information.
- Effective communication skills with managers, customers, and staff.
Reasoning Ability:
- Problem-solving skills, data collection, and analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be capable of walking, bending, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
