Assembler Package Units - 2nd Shift
Will train on 1st shift and move to 2nd shift after training is completed. Starting rate is $28.51/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium when moved to 2nd shift.
Job Description:
- Complete assembly of complex standard products following prescribed procedures and methods, involving tubing layout, application to package, bending or sawing pipe as needed to support assembly.
- Mount motors onto packages.
- Use all power and hand tools and other measuring devices to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of parts according to blueprints/drawings, and pass identified test requirements.
- Set up and level unit bases using laser level.
- Install perimeter angles, reconnect interior, exterior, wall, roof, and roof trim components with minor supervision.
- Perform quality finish caulking, understanding when and where it applies according to construction manuals.
- Verify correct components are installed in units.
- Consult drawings on Shop Floor Viewer as needed.
- Access work instructions and operating instructions from MMIB manual when required.
- Detect unusual conditions and defects in materials/parts and report to supervision.
- Prepare packages for shipping by applying tags to identify equipment and devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
- Perform necessary material handling related to the job.
- Maintain and record labor, production, and quality data.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment following 5S standards.
- Participate in team activities such as Kaizen events, 5S programs, and problem-solving exercises.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and JHRA’s.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, and effectively communicate with managers, customers, and staff.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, bend, stand, and sit for extended periods.
