Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler III to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications.

You will secure and maintain correct parts and supplies, set up work areas, and operate equipment to complete the assembly process.

You will observe safety and quality standards, participate in continuous improvement programs, and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products.
• 1 year of experience or more preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Certification in area of expertise including welding may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards.
• Operates equipment and tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Prevents and controls waste of raw material.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned
