Job summary

TT Electronics plc in Ohio is seeking a detail‑oriented team member to support conformal coating operations. You will prep, coat and un-prep circuit board assemblies, ensuring coating quality and process safety.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safe practices and use PPE specified.
  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on HPLV spray gun.
  • Measure wet and dry film conformal coating thickness accurately.
  • Mix conformal coatings following correct ratios per instructions.
  • Check shelf life of coatings and thinners before use.
  • Follow coating instructions for inspections and touch-ups.
  • Set up, perform 1st piece inspections and in-process audits.
  • Operate aerosol spray cans using proper techniques.
  • Locate and use SDS information.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Role Overview And Responsibilities
Introduction

Responsible for prep, coat and un-prep of circuit board assemblies that require conformal coating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capable of identifying type of conformal coating, cure schedule and coating requirements
  • Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials
  • Pass the Respiratory Testing and Fit Test Initially and Annually
  • Work to safe practices and use all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) specified
  • Demonstrate proper techniques in operation and preventative maintenance of HPLV spray gun
  • Follow proper techniques in measuring wet film and dry film conformal coating thickness
  • Use math skills for mixing conformal coatings to correct ratios per manufacturing instructions
  • Review shelf life of conformal coatings and thinners prior to usage
  • Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials including proper disposal of general and hazardous waste
  • Follow applicable coating requirements in performing inspections and touch-up of conformal coatings per manufacturing instructions
  • Follow requirements for set up, 1st piece inspection and in-process audits
  • Follow proper techniques in operation of aerosol spray can
  • Locate and use SDS information
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical Demands

Light Work

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Constantly walk, finger, grasp, feel 90-100% of the time; frequently stoop, reach, push, lift, talk, hear and do repetitive motions 60-90% of the time.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.

Visual Acuity

The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

Work Environment

The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The Team member is subjected to atmospheric conditions including odors 90-100% of the time and is sometimes required to wear a full face respirator, gloves and apron. The Team Member is frequently (60-90% of the time) in a small enclosed room to perform their duties.

Safety is a core responsibility of this position. Team members are expected to perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established procedures. This includes wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), participating in safety training, immediately reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and stopping work when unsafe conditions exist. All employees are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and for actively contributing to the prevention of workplace injuries and accidents.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

The Team Member is required to work overtime on as needed.
