Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking an Assembly Operator III to support production targets on the shop floor. You will read and interpret technical diagrams for assembly of products and run testing equipment onsite.

This role reports to Production Unit Manager and requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with overtime as needed. Join a team focused on reliable, safe manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of overall manufacturing operations.
• Ability to stand, bend, walk for extended periods.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.
• Be able to work at all stations of the assembly line.

Responsibilities

• Primarily troubleshoot and repair breakers.
• Understand how the product works and be able to work on all stations.
• Understand how the accessories work with the product.
• Know how to turn on and off all equipment.
• Know how to interpret tester data.
• Record tally at end of day for red tagged breakers.
• Assist in training of the operators and give feedback on quality issues on the line.
• Record production data issues daily and manage defect tracker.
• Support with trainings of other employees.
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the shift and at designated times.
• Able to run all testing equipment.
• Supports Coordinator in keeping the operation moving.
• Other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
