Job summary

ABB is seeking an Assembly Technician III (Andon) to support production targets on the shop floor. You will read diagrams, operate machinery, and troubleshoot breakers across all stations to keep lines moving and efficient.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to work overtime. You will participate in training and contribute to quality improvements while maintaining housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of overall manufacturing operations.
• Ability to stand, bend, walk for extended periods of time throughout shift.
• Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support the unit in achieving production targets by adhering to systems and processes.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
• Troubleshoot and repair breakers on the line.
• Understand how the product works and operate all stations on the line.
• Interpret tester data and ensure proper testing on equipment.
• Record tally for red-tagged breakers and daily production data for defect tracker.
• Assist in training of operators and provide feedback on quality issues.
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the shift and assist with other duties as assigned.

Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
