Job summary

Southco is seeking an assembler to produce parts on manual and semi-automated benches, manage multiple work centers, and perform basic setup. You will troubleshoot, run quality checks, and enter production data in the system while following 5S standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift up to 33 lbs, and 1–3 years of Assembler I experience. We value safety, accuracy, and the ability to train others in assembly techniques.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Able to learn business operating systems.
• Good manual dexterity, able to sit or stand for 8-hour shift.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 33 lbs.
• Able to train others and demonstrate proper assembly techniques.
• Quality and Safety conscious.
• Able to handle multiple priorities.
• 1-3 years successful experience as an Assembler I, maintaining production rates at or above established rates.

Responsibilities

• Accurately produce parts by operating manual, semi-automated benches to achieve minimum productivity of 80%.
• Perform set up activities on manual and semi-automated benches; troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs.
• Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure defect-free products; follow processes to reach zero defects.
• Enter data into business software; use core system to record data if required.
• Follow standard work procedures before, during, and after shift per department guidelines (5S).
