Savaria Patient Care, a division of Savaria Corporation, seeks an Assembler II to perform diverse tasks producing foam products and meeting productivity goals. The role involves setting up machines, assembling components, and ensuring quality standards are met on a daily basis.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. Cross-training in 2-3 jobs is required to support lean processes and a safe, efficient production floor.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and listening skills required.
• Must be fully cross trained in 2-3 jobs within the mattress department.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing procedures and 5S.

Responsabilités

• Assemble, glue, cut, print, fold, press, inflate, seal, label, and pack foam products to meet productivity goals.
• Verify product conforms to quality standards.
• Locate and organize raw materials for production.
• Minimize scrap through careful handling of materials.
• Set up and operate production machinery per instructions.
• Understand and troubleshoot production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work area.
