Job summary

MSA Safety in Jacksonville, North Carolina is seeking an energetic Assembly II professional for a 1st shift role. You will assemble products and sub-assemblies in a manufacturing environment, following standard procedures and blueprints.

You will use hand and power tools, fit parts to close tolerances, and package finished goods. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires safety-conscious teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Reading and following safety instructions and procedures.
  • Demonstrate adequate dexterity to reach efficiency goals.
  • Demonstrate mechanical skills and ability to use hand/power tools.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and communicate with team at all levels.
  • No disciplinary action in the last 12 months.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble a limited variety of products or sub-assemblies following standard procedures.
  • Fit parts to close tolerances, align and adjust for operating requirements.
  • Use hand and/or power tools to complete tasks.
  • May perform incidental electrical or mechanical assembly.
  • Refer to drawings/diagrams/blueprints as guides for assembly.
  • Package finished products and handle related material tasks.
  • Report to Production Supervisor and contribute to team goals.

1st Shift: (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) Monday through Thursday

Pay Grade: HRJ02

Starting Pay: $16.65/hr

MSA Safety in Jacksonville, North Carolina is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as an Assembler II in a manufacturing environment. This position will report the Production Supervisor. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assembly of a limited variety of products or sub-assemblies of small, light to average weight parts following standard procedures.
  • Assembly and fitting parts to close tolerances including a aligning, fitting, and adjusting parts to meet operating requirements of unit.
  • Use of hand and/or power tools.
  • May perform incidental electrical, mechanical connection assembly.
  • Refer to drawings, diagrams, or blueprints as guides for performing assembly tasks.
  • Package finished products.
  • Other general assembly and material handling tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Ability to:
    • read and write, ability to comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions.
    • demonstrate adequate dexterity to reach acceptable levels of efficiency.
    • demonstrate mechanical skills, ability to use hand and power tools.
    • lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.

    • Must have no disciplinary action records for any reason at or above the written warning level within the previous twelve months.
    • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
  • 6 months in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous MSA experience
