Job summary

Moog, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Assembler II for the 2nd shift to join the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team.

This on-site role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, typically Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–12:00am and every other Friday 3:00pm–11:00pm. You will read assembly drawings and work from BOMs and test specs, assemble electro/mechanical components, and maintain production records while contributing to lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required
• 3+ years electro/mechanical assembly experience; aerospace experience preferred
• Ability to read assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOMs, test specs and other instructions
• Prior experience with circuit cards; strong understanding of ESD
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills
• Commitment to contribute to a lean, high-performing improvement culture

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment
• Install a piece/part/component of an in-process product on sub-assemblies
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
• Monitor the quality of output and rework faulty products
• Maintain accurate daily assembly production records for performance analysis
• Cross-train on multiple production lines

Our Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT is eagerly looking for an Assembler II to join their dynamic team. You will join the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team, reporting directly to our Operations Supervisor.

This is an on-site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is M‑Th, 3:00pm – 12:00am, every other Fri 3:00pm – 11:00pm)

To be considered for this Assembler II – 2nd Shift role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required, Technical/Vocational training with high emphasis on mechanical systems desired.
• 3+ years’ electro/mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is required; Aerospace experience preferred
• Position requires attention to detail, organized work practices, and good housekeeping skills to maintain a clean work center
• Must be able to read and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOM, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and verbal.
• Prior experience with circuit cards and strong understanding of ESD
• Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office
• Commitment to contribute to a high-performing lean management system that thrives on collaborative continuous improvement.

• Experience leading process improvements and/or involvement in a structured lean management system.

• Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment
• Operating machinery/equipment to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly, or sub-assembly
• Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
• Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
• Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
• Cross training on multiple production lines

Salary Range Transparency

Salt Lake City, UT $21.00–$25.00 Hourly
