Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an Assembler II for the Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT. This on-site role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, typically M-Th 3:00pm–12:00am and alternating Fri 3:00pm–11:00pm.

You will join the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team reporting to the Operations Supervisor. Responsibilities include setting up and operating assembly equipment, reading drawings, and maintaining quality records while supporting lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training with emphasis on mechanical systems preferred.
• 3+ years electro/mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing; aerospace experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and organized work practices; good housekeeping to maintain a clean work center.
• Ability to read and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, BOMs, test specs, and other instructions, written or verbal.
• Prior experience with circuit cards and understanding of ESD.
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office.
• Lean management and process-improvement experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment.
• Install a component of an in-process product following drawings or specs.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitor output quality; identify defective products for discard or rework.
• Maintain accurate daily assembly production records for performance analysis.
• Cross-train on multiple production lines.

This is an on‑site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is M-Th, 3:00pm – 12:00am, every other Fri 3:00pm – 11:00pm)

Responsibilities

• Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment
• Operating machinery/equipment to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly, or sub-assembly
• Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
• Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
• Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
• Cross training on multiple production lines

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required, Technical/Vocational training with high emphasis on mechanical systems desired.
• 3+ years’ electro/mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is required; Aerospace experience preferred.
• Position requires attention to detail, organized work practices, and good housekeeping skills to maintain a clean work center.
• Must be able to read and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOM, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and verbal.
• Prior experience with circuit cards and strong understanding of ESD.
• Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office.
• Commitment to contribute to a high-performing lean management system that thrives on collaborative continuous improvement.
• It would be great if you also had: Experience leading process improvements and/or involvement in a structured lean management system.

Salary

Salary Range Transparency: Salt Lake City, UT $21.00–$25.00 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location.
