Eaton's Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division in Irvine, CA is seeking an Assembler II for the 5:30 am – 2:00 pm shift. The role involves assembling parts, using hand and power tools, inspecting units, and following routings and blueprints to build subassemblies.

You may disassemble for repair, verify tolerances, ensure safety and 5S standards, and work within a team-driven environment. A high school diploma and 2 years of mechanical assembly experience are required; residence within 50 miles

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts or units using hand and power tools to form subassemblies or frames.
• Disassemble and reassemble products for repair as needed.
• Inspect, test, and verify units meet specifications and tolerances.
• Interpret routing sheets and instructions to ensure proper assembly.
• Maintain 5S standards and keep work area clean and organized.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group, has openings for an Assembler II based in Irvine, CA. The hours for this shift are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power toolsMay disassemble and assemble product that is returned for repairUtilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, micrometers, calipers and indicatorsUse routing sheets, operating instruction sheets or other documentation to ensure proper assembly of parts. Perform visual inspection of units during the assembly process and at completion of assembled units.May perform verification as an operator/inspector for others in the departmentInspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirementsDetermine tooling and special gauging required to complete workComply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.Perform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Required Qualifications:Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.A minimum of 2 year previous work experience in mechanical assemblyNo relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA in order to be considered.
