Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking an Assembler II to fabricate components and assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role ensures correct parts, supplies, and adheres to safety and quality standards.

You will set up work areas, fit parts, operate presses and hand tools, inspect finished products, and maintain production records. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; 18+ and 6 months of experience recommended.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • At least 6 months of experience assembling components; 1 year preferred.
  • Basic math skills preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed manner and quality standards.
  • Operates presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required.
  • Stacks completed products according to procedures; may label and band components/finished product.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift equipment inspection and reports issues.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Follows safety and quality procedures and participates in CI and other programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler II is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation including plates, nails, staples, fasteners, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environmentProvides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year of experience or more is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
