Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler II to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role requires securing parts, maintaining supplies, and ensuring quality standards are met.

You will complete work area setup, operate presses and hand tools, and maintain production records. A minimum of 6 months assembling components is required; 18+ years old, with basic math skills, preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year of experience or more is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components or finish products according to customer specifications.
  • Set up and organize the work area for efficient production.
  • Operate presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stack and label finished products and parts as required by procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and ensure equipment is safe to operate.

Job Summary

Assembler II is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation including plates, nails, staples, fasteners, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefit Information

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 an hour dependent on experience*

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
