Job summary

Modern Industries in Tempe, AZ seeks a skilled assembler to fabricate subassemblies and complete units. You will read blueprints, test and certify parts, and ensure compliance with product specifications.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma with 5–7 years in manufacturing assembly and experience with calibration, calipers, and torque tools. Able to train others, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in a clean room setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and use calipers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate and clean parts to subassemblies and complete units.
• Test, calibrate, inspect and certify parts to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Read and identify blueprint requirements and document findings per EPICOR processes.
• Epicor verification and stamping of hard cards; ensure in-process test certs are filed.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble, fabricate and clean parts to subassemblies and complete units.
• Test, calibrate, inspect and certify parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Read and identify blueprint requirements such as: Epicor receiving/ rejecting parts, Final inspection identify exception and file all documents,
• Epicor verification buy off and stamp hard card, In-Process inspection/ verification all test certs are in hard card, Measure all sealing surfaces and O- ring depth.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Basic Computer Skills. Ability to use hand tools, torque wrenches, and small power tools.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Knowledge and use of calipers, torque wrenches, helicoil, keensert, and Leeplug installation tools.
• Knowledge of testing and integration. Ability to read wiring schematics.
• Ability to follow blueprints and read instructions.
• Ability to train and certify other assemblers. Able to maintain quality.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of manufacturing assembly experience. Preferred at least one year within Modern Industries.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to work standing for periods of time.

Special Requirements:

• Specific Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to wear clean room attire for clean room assembly.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to work standing for periods of time.
