Job summary

VIP Staffing in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Assembler II for a mid-level manufacturing role with a 12-hour day/night schedule. You will build and test assemblies, train teammates, and support continuous improvement initiatives through Lean and safety programs.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, good English, basic math, and the ability to read prints and wiring diagrams. Starting pay is $16 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Ability to read manufacturing instructions with minimal assistance.
• Level I solder certification is a plus.
• Reading prints and wiring diagrams is a plus.
• Basic Windows applications (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Perform all Assembler I duties.
• Submit PATH cards for safety improvements.
• Submit RIE suggestion cards for Lean improvements.
• Generate NCM tags and assist in root cause analysis.
• Promote 6S and participate in quarterly audits.
• Train others in certified workstations.
• Test and calibrate mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Utilize basic Windows applications (Excel, Word).
• Achieve certification in all stations of at least 2 work-cells.
• Achieve certification in at least 5 stations (levels 3 or 4).

Job Title: Assembler II

Schedule: Days and Nights (12-hour schedule)

Reports to: Cell Lead/Team Lead

Job Description:

Assembler II is a mid-level role responsible for performing advanced assembly tasks, training others, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to Assembler I responsibilities, this role requires certifications in multiple stations, participation in safety and Lean improvement programs, and technical skills in calibration and testing.

Key Job Elements:

• Perform all Assembler I duties.
• Submit PATH cards for safety improvements.
• Submit RIE suggestion cards for Lean improvements.
• Generate NCM tags, move materials to NCM area, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Promote 6S program and participate in quarterly audits.
• Train others in certified workstations.
• Test and calibrate mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Utilize basic Windows applications (Excel, Word).
• Achieve certification in all stations of at least 2 work-cells.
• Achieve certification in at least 5 stations (levels 3 or 4).

Requirements:
