Job summary

VIP Staffing is seeking an Assembler II for San Antonio, TX. The mid-level role requires certifications across multiple stations, testing/calibration skills, and training others. It includes a 12-hour day/night schedule and a starting pay of $16 per hour DOE.

Responsibilities include performing Assembler I tasks, supporting safety/Lean initiatives, and using Windows tools (Excel, Word). Candidates must have strong English and be team-oriented.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Basic math including calculator use.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions with minimal assistance.
• Level I solder certification a plus.
• Ability to read prints and wiring diagrams a plus.
• Basic Windows applications (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Perform all Assembler I duties.
• Submit PATH cards for safety improvements.
• Submit RIE suggestion cards for Lean improvements.
• Generate NCM tags, move materials to NCM area, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Promote 6S program and participate in quarterly audits.
• Train others in certified workstations.
• Test and calibrate mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Utilize basic Windows applications (Excel, Word).
• Achieve certification in all stations of at least 2 work-cells.
• Achieve certification in at least 5 stations (levels 3 or 4).
