Job summary

ITW in Missouri (Saint Charles) is seeking an Assembler to assemble and test products using hand tools and small power equipment, following drawings and work instructions.

You will maintain quality standards, complete paperwork accurately, and support continuous improvement with ITW principles, while keeping the work area safe and organized.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a team or independently with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Two years of manufacturing experience preferred and meeting department expectations.
  • Good manufacturing operations knowledge and practices.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Inspect and manipulate small and delicate items using a variety of tools.
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good problem solving and, multi-tasking skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble a wide range of products using drawings, work instructions, and tests to performance specifications.
  • Adhere to product quality standards and SOPs; provide support and feedback to team lead and engineering.
  • Complete required documentation.
  • Utilize the inventory management System Kanban, cycle counting, physical inventory.
  • Perform material handling, receiving, and stocking of materials and sales coordination.
  • Adhere to facility safety and health requirements; wear prescribed PPE.
  • Maintain work area, tools and/or equipment, and machines.
  • Apply ITW principles/techniques to identify process improvements and report to management.

Job Description

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing company product. This position may specialize in particular products or processes. Additionally, this position follows all work area related processes and procedures to assemble units utilizing hand tools, small power equipment, and other special equipment/fixtures. Finally, this position is required to complete paperwork fully, accurately, and timely, as well as clean and maintain work area and equipment including tools.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to Assemble wide range of products, using drawings, work instructions, and tests to performance specifications.
  • Adheres to product quality standards, and standard operating procedures Provide support and feedback to team lead and engineering team.
  • Completes required documentation.
  • Utilizes the inventory management System-Kanban, cycle counting, physical inventory.
  • Performs material handling, receiving, and stocking of materials and sales coordination.
  • Adheres to facility safety and health requirements; wears prescribed PPE.
  • Maintains work area, tools and/or equipment, and machines.
  • Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying ITW principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.
Position Qualification Requirements

Education: High School Diploma (or GED) required.

Experience/Skills
  • Two (2) year manufacturing experience preferred and must be meeting or exceeding current department expectations.
  • Good manufacturing operations knowledge and practices.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently
  • Ability to inspect and manipulate small and delicate items using a variety of tools
  • Able to assemble complete printhead Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office Product required
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks while working in a fast-paced environment
