Job summary

Nordson Test & Inspection is seeking an experienced team member to support manufacturing and test operations. The role requires meticulous attention to part measurements, reading drawings, preparing mechanical assemblies, and building cable/harnesses per OMS specifications.

Candidates should be able to solder, tin wires, use a Volt-Ohm Meter, operate curing ovens, and manage data entry in databases with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office; able to create and manage data.
• Able to enter measurements and test data into databases.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and OMS instructions.
• Capable of using small hand tools (crimpers, wire strippers, screwdriver, wire cutters).
• Able to solder and apply solder paste per J-610 standards.
• Able to solder and tin wires; Volt-Ohm Meter use.
• Able to mix and apply materials and coatings.
• Able to use and monitor curing ovens.
• Select and use taps and die without damaging material.
• Mating water connections/fittings to prevent leaks.
• Assemble mechanical assemblies to released documents.
• Audit material issued to a job.
• Create labels for assemblies per drawings/OMS.
• Understand and comply with NC process.
• Build cable/harness assemblies as drawings/OMS specify.

Responsibilities

• Perform measurements and ensure accuracy for parts; document data.
• Read and interpret drawings and OMS instructions.
• Assemble mechanical components per released docs and OMS specs.
• Build cable/harness assemblies per drawings; apply labels as needed.
• Audit materials issued to a job and ensure quality.
• Solder and apply paste per J-610; use Volt-Ohm Meter for checks.
• Operate curing ovens and manage materials/coatings.
• Maintain data in databases and use MS Office for reports.
• Ensure water fittings are leak-free and properly mated.
• Follow Non-Conformance (NC) processes and capture issues.

Summary of the role

• Need attention to detail for the parts and measurements as small changes have a large impact.
• Computer literacy and comfort using MS Office products
• Be able to correctly enter data taken during measurements and test into a database on a computer
• Be able to read and interpret drawings and work instructions (OMS)
• Able to use small hand tools, (crimpers, wire strippers, screwdriver, wire cutters, etc) with acceptable results
• Be able to solder and apply solder paste in accordance with J-610 standards.
• Able to solder and tin wires, (IPC not required) and be able to use a Volt-Ohm Meter
• Able to mix and apply materials and coatings
• Be able to use and monitor curing ovens
• Select and use taps and die correctly without damaging material
• Mating of water connections/fittings so that they do not leak
• Be able to correctly assemble Mechanical assemblies to released documentation
• Perform an audit of the material issued to a job
• Create labels as needed for assemblies to the drawings or OMS specifications
• After training, understand and comply with our Non-Conformance (NC) process.
• Be able to build cable/harness assemblies to the drawings or OMS.
