Job summary

UFP Factory Built, LLC is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. The role requires ensuring correct parts, supplies, and accurate assembly processes.

You will complete setup, operate hand tools, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and participate in safety and quality programs. No formal experience required, though 6 months in manufacturing is preferred, and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment; maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
