Eaton’s ES GEIS BLDdivision seeks an Assembler I - Seismic (1st Shift) in Reno, NV. The role involves assembling parts on a bench, using fasteners, and following models or diagrams under close supervision.

You’ll pick, pack and pull orders, troubleshoot issues, and support Lean initiatives on the shop floor. We offer health benefits from day one, an Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more.

• Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Maintain 5-S throughout shop floor and office areas.
• Track and sustain all visual management tools such as OEE boards and LEAN tools.
• Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events.

CORE HOURS: 5:45AM - 2:15PM (Monday - Friday)

What you’ll do:

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• May use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
• Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
• Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
• Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
• Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open.
• Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
