Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler to join its ES GEIS CHD division in Roanoke. You will work on a production line, ensure processes are completed efficiently, and prepare parts for the next team member. Core hours are 5:00am to 1:30pm, with an hourly rate of $20.78.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours.
• Able to perform with constant movement of the arms.

Responsibilities

• Lift material onto machines, manually or with a hoist.
• Document production numbers on a board at station.
• Review purchase orders with manufacturing details, design specifications, and assembly instructions to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
• Cut and strip wires according to specifications.
• Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using pneumatic drills, drivers, rivets, bolts, glue, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
• Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
• Pack finished assemblies for shipment and place on pick up line for distribution using tape dispenser and safety box cutter.
• Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand.
• Read testing device to ensure quality of product.
• Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work stations.
• Operate material handling equipment which include: forklift, reach truck and electric jack
