Job summary

UFP Industries in Thornton, CA is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specs. You will set up work area, fit parts, use hand tools, and maintain accurate production records while following safety and quality procedures. No minimum experience required, but up to 6 months in manufacturing is preferred.

Must be at least 18. Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 with eligibility for incentive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and participates in safety/CI programs.
