Job summary

Generac is seeking an Assembler I to support production in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will use drawings, schematics, and hand tools to assemble components while following safety and quality standards.

Cross-training may occur across multiple assembly areas to meet business needs. You will learn product specifics, participate in team meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 year of assembly or related experience.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Manufacturing or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic assembly procedures and use hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble using work instructions, drawings, and schematics while complying with safety and operation standards.
  • Follow established quality standards and participate in continuous improvement (Drive to Zero).
  • May cross-train in multiple assembly areas and flex to other departments as needed.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of assembled products and their business impact.
  • Continuously learn job principles, practices, and processes as changes occur.
  • Participate in team meetings to exchange job-related information.
  • Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors.
  • May provide task-specific training on work instructions or standard work.
  • Have a general understanding of the ERP system.
