Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division in El Paso, TX is seeking an Assembler I for 1st shift to assemble subassemblies and fixed electrical assemblies in control equipment, following drawings and power-check procedures.

You will handle materials, inspect finished products, maintain safety, and ensure on-time production. Requirements include a High School Diploma and 1+ year manufacturing experience; forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, production, construction, industrial, or military experience or a technical degree.
• Forklift driver certification (preferred).
• Experience with supply chain systems (AS400, MAPICS) (preferred).
• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards/switchboards preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies per drawings and procedures.
• Follow power-checking procedures to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units.
• Handle materials and maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and coordinate with team for on-time production.

Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Use established power-checking procedures and equipment to verify the electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and quality requirements.In this function you will:• Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.• Handle materials following established procedures.• Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment in the area of assignment as required.• Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.• Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.• Handle all finished products for shipment; call carriers and load materials into carrier's vehicles.• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.Qualifications:Required:• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.
