Job summary

UFP Site Built in Pearisburg, VA is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble products to customer specifications. You will secure parts, use hand tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following quality standards.

No prior experience is required, but 6 months in manufacturing is preferred. The role offers a generous benefits package and an annual pay range of $35,000–$50,000 with incentive possibilities.

Qualifications

  • No minimum experience required; 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems or concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
  • Participates in safety and CI programs and meetings.
