Job summary

Terumo Neuro in California is seeking an entry-level assembler to perform the assembly or sub-assembly of medical devices under close supervision. You will follow manufacturing instructions, record build data, and communicate issues to leads and engineers while helping with special assembly requests.

Job description

Perform the assembly or sub-assembly of medical device products in an entry-level position under close supervision from line leaders and supervisors in accordance with manufacturing documents. Job duties:

  • Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products or prototypes as required.
  • Record data associated with the building of products on build records or prototypes as required.
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors when issues related to materials, processes, and/or written procedures are encountered.
  • Work with engineers and supervisors to perform special assembly requests.
  • Follow all related quality, compliance, and company policies and procedures.
  • Understand operations objectives and work with team members to achieve overall production goals.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge and skills to perform at least one (1) manufacturing procedure successfully.
  • As directed by leads and supervisors, train other assemblers on certified manufacturing procedures.
  • Meet all performance standards and metrics by using time and resources efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by keeping work area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

$17.85/Hour - $21.5/Hour (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)

  • May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and gowns, may be required in controlled environments.
  • Occasional to moderate use of the computer.
  • May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs).
