Assembler I is responsible for assembling coolers by positioning and installing components according to blueprints and instructions, using hand and power tools. Key duties include examining connections for proper fit, verifying specifications with measuring devices, operating fabrication equipment, and performing tube installation and rolling operations. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting in training new employees.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 1+ years of manufacturing experience desirable. Candidates should have basic math skills, blueprint reading ability, and experience with industrial machinery. Certifications like forklift operation and overhead crane experience are preferred. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking most of the day, and manual dexterity for precision tasks. Strong communication skills and adherence to safety policies are essential.
The job involves exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, and environmental factors like extreme temperatures, fumes, and confined spaces. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs are mandatory. Candidates must be proactive in promoting safety and following protocols.
