Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking an Assembler to support general construction on active jobsites and then transition to Lyndhurst, VA for shop and field activities including rigging, painting, insulation, grinding, brazing, and routine shop duties.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic measurement skills, and mechanical aptitude, with reliability and a willingness to learn; overtime and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read measurements.
• Willingness to learn, reliability, and good attendance.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Willingness to work Saturdays/overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Support general construction activities at the Harrisonburg, VA site.
• Safely handle, move, and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist crews with jobsite setup and cleanup.
• Rig equipment and materials safely.
• Operate fork trucks as needed.
• Perform grinding, sanding, and brazing tasks.
• Paint system components and piping.
• Apply pipe and system insulation.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Transition to state-licensed apprenticeship after baseline training.
