Job description

Position Summary

The Assembly Operator performs various assembly, sub‑assembly, or packaging operations in a production area, requiring physical dexterity, machine monitoring, inspecting, and packaging filter components. Minor set‑up duties are also performed.

Responsibilities
  • Hand‑assemble and/or monitor the machine assembly of various filters and components as outlined in the Process Instructions for the assigned work area.
  • Operate and monitor assembly line machines and activities; refer problems to supervision.
  • Perform minor assembly line set‑up duties in preparation of assembly operations.
  • Obtain inspection report approval from department supervision.
  • Meet established unit production standards.
  • Inspect all work to assure that defective product is not processed; immediately report problems to department supervision.
  • Conduct on‑the‑job training for other employees as assigned.
  • Complete paperwork as required, including quality records, scrap reports, and machine logs; report production using the computer system.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly, and free of obstruction.
  • Observe safety rules at all times and immediately report unsafe conditions to department supervision.
  • Ensure quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company procedures and policies.
Qualifications
  • Required: 10th Grade education.
  • Preferred: High school diploma with at least three months of assembly line experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must be able to handle and transport parts and materials weighing up to approximately thirty‑five pounds.
Compensation
  • Hourly pay range: $19.29–$21.74.
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
