Job description

Position Summary

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and producing various types of filters. Performing duties such as stapling, applying wrap to pleats, capping, assembling tubes and springs, spot welding, seaming, spinning, applying adhesive/plastisol, cutting media, wrap or other material as required. Applying gaskets and inspecting. May involve tucking and filter repair, packaging, and stacking of product.

Second Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:20 pm – 1:40 am (10 hours). If there is a scheduled or voluntary Saturday, the shift will be 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Wages & Benefits

• Pay rate $17.75/hour ($50,765 – $54,226 annually)
• Shift Differential $1.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Assemble various types of filters and component parts to production specifications.
• May perform assigned production processes such as spinning; applying adhesive or plastisol to products or components; cutting media, wrap, or other materials; complete spot welding, debossing, and seaming on filters or components; minor filter repair; and packing and inspecting finished products.
• Use basic computer functions for daily M.O.s and inventory adjustments.
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly inventories as needed.
• Complete first‑piece and in‑process inspections; secure supervisor or quality assistance to correct defects or deficiencies as they occur.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Actively participate in department problem‑solving, lean events, and high‑performance teams.
• Participate in 5S and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need.
• Must work safely, observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety.

Education and Experience

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications and accurately use measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of basic math: perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (add, subtract, multiply, divide) to measure, record, and report production and quality data.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and work toward continuous production.
