Are you the type of assembler who wants more challenge or variability in your day to day? In this role you will build on your mechanical experience to expand your skills across multiple areas of assembly. We’re looking for assembly knowledge, a commitment to growing your skillset and accountability to building a high-quality piece of Vermeer equipment.
What You’ll Do
Follow provided job instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies for attachment to equipment per Vermeer's quality standards.
Align components and bolts then fasten them according to torque specifications, install moving parts and test to ensure parts move as intended.
Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
Apply decals, company logos, safety warning notices and other items to the finished product. May also attach doors, panels and other machine guarding.
Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals, algebra, geometry, and statistical quality control.
Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department’s performance board metrics.
Assist with training of new assemblers.
What We’re Looking For
Pass rate of at least 80% on Level II Assembler Assessment.
Minimum of one year assembly experience at Vermeer and/or two years of mechanical experience or technical training.
Ability to meet takt time and quality expectations at a minimum of three assembly stations.
Ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation within the trained areas. Call attention to quality issues as they arise.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals throughout the organization.

Work Location
ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
