Job summary

Wieland in Delaware, OH is seeking an Assembler/Equipment Operator I to assemble components per drawings and procedures, using power tools. The role is on-site with a starting pay of $23.00/hr and a $1.50/hr shift differential. Weekend shift is Fri-Sun, 6:00am-6:00pm, with training on first shift.

Responsibilities include following orders, assembling parts, operating tools, preparing parts, and maintaining safety and quality standards. PPE is required, and pay is biweekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods and wear PPE (ear protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, face shield, respirator).
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use standard hand and power tools (drills, grinders).
• Proactive in proposing solutions.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Following production orders, procedures, and supervisor directions to prepare parts and assemble components.
• Operate power tools or equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Prepare parts for assembly by grinding, blasting, cutting metals, etc.
• Assemble in accordance with procedures and documents, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment in proper working condition via preventative maintenance.
• Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality.
