Job summary

Wieland Group in Delaware, OH is hiring an Assembler/Equipment Operator I for 1st shift. You will ensure components are machined and finished per drawings, using power tools and proper PPE, and you will work on pressure vessels and heat exchangers with a focus on safety and quality.

Starting pay is $23.00/hr, with adjustments based on experience. Shift is Monday to Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pm; biweekly pay schedule; on-site role with opportunities to grow within a global metals company.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Able to perform physical labor and wear PPE.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Proficient with standard hand and power tools.
• Proactive in proposing solutions and improvements.
• Good verbal communication and basic measurement skills (fractions/decimals).

Responsibilities

• Follow production orders and assemble components to specification.
• Operate power tools or equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Prepare parts by grinding, blasting, cutting metals.
• Assemble per procedures; meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance.
• Suggest improvements to methods or equipment to boost efficiency/quality.

Wieland is hiring an Assembler/Equipment Operator I. The Assembler/Equipment Operator I will be responsible for ensuring that components are machined and finished as specified by the detailed drawings and procedures of the company, while meeting the defined quality standards. We are seeking a flexible individual who can manage varying job duties from day to day. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $23.00/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications

1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 6:00am-4:30pm

Pay Schedule: Biweekly

Responsibilities

Assembler/Equipment Operator I Responsibilities:

• Following production orders, company procedures and directions from supervisor, prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies.
• Successfully perform assembly operations by means of power tools or specialized equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Preparing parts for assembly by means of grinding, blasting, cutting of metals, etc.
• Execute assembly in accordance to company`s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance as per instructions.
• Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality

Assembler/ Equipment Operator I Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, and respirator if required.
• Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use standard hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, etc.
• Proactive in proposing solutions.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.
