Job summary

Taco, Inc. is seeking an Assembler B/Industrial Painter for the 2nd shift on-site in Fall River. You will perform assembly, painting, testing, and packaging of heat transfer products while following drawings and lean manufacturing controls.

Responsibilities include operating power tools, performing hydrostatic tests, and maintaining records. Prior forklift experience and ability to lift heavy materials are required. Full-time position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift or move material weighing 25-60 lbs.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow procedures and use drawings/specs where some interpretation is required.
  • Knowledge of basic math including decimals and fractions.
  • Experience using a variety of power tools and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles items in the heat transfer product line per specifications and ensures conformance with procedures and quality standards.
  • Paints, packages, straps, assembles and palletizes finished goods.
  • Tests completed units on hydrostatic testing equipment and reports any issues to supervisor.
  • Operates forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Maintains records and keeps a clean, safe work area following 5S standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Position Summary

The Assembler B/Industrial Painter performs a variety of routine duties involved in the assembly, loading, packaging, painting and testing of various items in the heat transfer product line.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works from drawings, travel tickets, and lean manufacturing visual control boards.
  • Uses a variety of power hand tools such as wrenches and impact guns, tubing expanders, paint guns and lift tables.
  • Assembles items in the heat transfer product line in accordance with specifications. Works closely with Assembler A’s to assure conformance with procedures and quality standards.
  • Paints, packages, straps, assembles and palletize finished goods.
  • Tests completed units on hydrostatic testing equipment. Monitors quality of work and reports equipment malfunctions, defective materials or other unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • As a certified forklift operator, operates material handling equipment as required to move heavy weight material.
  • Maintains all necessary records. Moves average weight materials as necessary in the performance of job.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area per company housekeeping standards and 5S policies and procedures. Follows all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or directed
Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability tofrequently lift or move material weighing over 25 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.
  • Aptitude to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures and use of drawings and specifications where some interpretation is required.
  • Knowledgeof basic math, including decimals and fractions.
  • Experience usingvariety of power tools andmaterial handling equipment

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

The Assembler B will work primarily in a production setting where safety equipment or personal protective gear is required. Frequent exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.

Salary range: $24.42 USD - $26.33 USD
