Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler (ATS) for 1st shift in North Carolina to perform winding, assembly and wiring for control equipment sub-assemblies. You will check performance, wire per diagrams, and prepare units for shipment, while maintaining safety and schedule adherence.

Key tasks include building main breaker units, full mechanical assembly, and ensuring copper brace and clearance requirements are met. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 35 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Experience in mechanical and wiring roles is preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build/Wire Main Breaker Units.
• Full Mechanical Assembly of the overall structure, build/wire/doors and electrical devices, install copper, and clean up after tests for shipping.
• Ensure copper connections are braced and clearance requirements met.
• Install and wire devices per BOM and schematics; maintain build schedule.
• Escalate production issues with supervisors and team leads.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and others.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler (ATS) - 1st shift Full-Time.The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.The shift hours are 3:30pm - 2am.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The primary function of the ATS - Assembler is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and copper operations to produce complete sub-assemblies and final assembly of control equipment. Check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies. Pack and prepare product for shipping.In this function you will:• Build/Wire Main Breaker Units• Full Mechanical Assembly of the overall structure, build/wire/ doors and electrical devices, build/install copper, and complete full cleanup of structures post-test to ship.• Ensure that copper connections are braced to meet bracing specifications.• Ensure that all clearance requirements are maintained.• Install and wire electrical devices required per Bill of Material and wire diagrams and schematics.• Maintain build schedule for Main Breaker production demand• Work with supervisors/team leads/water spiders to escalate production issues immediately• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others.• Perform other tasks as required.Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
