Job Title: Assembler

Reports To: Manufacturing Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Assembler is responsible for building and assembling hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders in accordance with engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. This position involves hands‑on assembly of components, including seals, pistons, rods, and tubes, as well as inspection and testing to ensure proper function and durability. The Assembler will work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements, maintain efficiency, and ensure a safe, organized work environment. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high‑quality products are essential to success in this role.

Essential Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as required.)

  • Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Install seals, pistons, rods, end caps, and other cylinder components with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspect parts for defects, proper fit, and quality prior to and during assembly.
  • Perform pressure and functional testing of completed cylinders to verify performance and safety standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.) during assembly.

  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
