Primary Function
Performs a series or combination of tasks involved in the assembly of coolers.
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks to produce coolers, maintaining line speed and quality standards.
- Confirm and sign assembly line and safety buyoff prior to starting the line.
- Initiate product runs and remove defective or damaged parts.
- Maintain cycle times to meet production requirements.
- Operate pour stations and fixtures in accordance with quality standards and training.
- Track and inspect parts, notifying supervisors of defects or errors.
- Utilize 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
- Use hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
- Ensure the quality of own work and report machine issues or material shortages.
- Work safely at all times, complying with site safety policies and company procedures.
- Work weekend schedules and overtime as needed.
- Perform related duties and participate in training as required.
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 45 pounds from floor to waist; occasional lifting above waist and bilateral carrying up to 45 pounds.
- Pushing/pulling up to 90 pounds; handling constantly; fingering frequently.
- Work arms overhead, standing, and bending occasionally.
Mental Demands
- Problem solving, decision making, reading, and paperwork completion occasionally.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read weight scales.
Working Conditions
- Indoor environment with high noise levels, occasional high temperatures, fumes, and dirt.
Equipment Use
- Calculator, scale, hand tools, power tools, broom, and dustpan.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions in English.
Personal Protective Equipment
- Safety glasses, hearing protection, slip-resistant shoes, hand protection, and additional PPE as needed.
Additional Information
This position is entry-level, full-time, with no supervisory responsibilities, in manufacturing. The work involves moderate to extreme working conditions and requires adherence to safety and quality standards.
