Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Mequon, WI is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Assembler Level 3 for the 3rd shift (Sun night–Thu night, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will perform a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks on modules and subassemblies, following drawings and documented instructions.

You will read schematics, use a variety of tools, and work with team leads to ensure quality and on-time shipment. Overtime is common; safety and quality matter.

Qualifications

• Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Follows documented methods and sequence of operations.
• Occasional overtime is required, typically 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assembles pre-engineered electro-mechanical equipment control modules on an assembly line.
• Supports manufacturing orders including engraving, labels and reports.
• Handles heavy gauge wiring and plumbing routing in repetitive product manufacturing.
• Evaluates assembly requirements and prepares safe work approaches.
• Prepares modules for shipment and ensures quality standards.

This is a 3rd Shift role (Sunday night- Thursday night 10:00PM -6:00AM), in the 455 department with a starting rate of $20.72 per hour with a 10% shift premium.

Job Summary:

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component. installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding. tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

This position performs repetitive assembly of pre-engineered electro-mechanical equipment control modules. Working from hard copy and electronic assembly documentation and instructions, the position follows established sequencing of hardware and wiring installations using predefined tools and fixtures. This position will also provide manufacturing order support including engraving, labels, and reports, handle heavy gauge electrical wiring and plumbing routing and assembly in repetitive product manufacturing. This position evaluates unique assembly and disassembly requirements and prepare an approach based upon safe work practices, cleans modules, restores painted surfaces, and performs general preparation prior to product shipment.

The position takes direction from manufacturing team leads in assigned workstations, follows instructions provided by a Tester to perform rework of product test anomalies and performs general preparation prior to product shipment. Position working environment is standardized assembly with paced productivity requirements and assessing products returned from customers for service and plan restoration of control modules. Working with continuous leadership in a production environment, the position is held to the highest standards in, and compliance with, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, procedures, policies, and metrics. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 8 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.

• Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hard copy drawings and work instructions.
• Follow standardized methods of work to accomplish an established set of assembly tasks
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in defined time frame
• Use tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Wire Strippers, Wire Luggers, Hand Tools, Fully Automated Test Systems, Torque Drivers, Lifting Fixtures, and Hoist & Crane
• Comfortable working from elevated surfaces
• Ability to operate independently and productively with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
