Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Assembler Level 3 for the 3rd shift (Sun night–Thu night, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM) in the 455 department in Wisconsin. Starting rate is $20.72 per hour with a 10% shift premium. Overtime is common, and responsibilities include wiring, soldering, and assembly of electro-mechanical modules.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and the ability to read schematics. Prior experience in similar roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no visa sponsorship.
• Two years of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Follow wiring, component installation, and hand soldering per blueprints.
• Perform setups and adjustments, maintaining tolerances per specifications.
• Provide manufacturing order support including engraving, labels and reports.
• Handle heavy gauge wiring and routing in repetitive production.

This is a 3rd Shift role (Sunday night- Thursday night 10:00PM -6:00AM), in the 455 department with a starting rate of $20.72 per hour with a 10% shift premium.

Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

This position performs repetitive assembly of pre‑engineered electro‑mechanical equipment control modules. Working from hard copy and electronic assembly documentation and instructions, the position follows established sequencing of hardware and wiring installations using predefined tools and fixtures. This position will also provide manufacturing order support including engraving, labels, and reports, handle heavy gauge electrical wiring and plumbing routing and assembly in repetitive product manufacturing. This position evaluates unique assembly and disassembly requirements and prepares an approach based upon safe work practices, cleans modules, restores painted surfaces, and performs general preparation prior to product shipment. The position takes direction from manufacturing team leads in assigned workstations, follows instructions provided by a Tester to perform rework of product test anomalies and performs general preparation prior to product shipment. Position working environment is standardized assembly with paced productivity requirements and assessing products returned from customers for service and plan restoration of control modules. Working with continuous leadership in a production environment, the position is held to the highest standards in, and compliance with, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, procedures, policies, and metrics. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 8 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.

• Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hard copy drawings and work instructions.
• Follow standardized methods of work to accomplish an established set of assembly tasks.
• Assemble components and sub‑assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in defined time frame.
• Use tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Wire Strippers, Wire Luggers, Hand Tools, Fully Automated Test Systems, Torque Drivers, Lifting Fixtures, and Hoist & Crane.
• Comfortable working from elevated surfaces.
• Ability to operate independently and productively with minimum supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to perform, reading of electrical schematics, standard component placements, assembly from workmanship standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrated understanding and logical approach to analyses and problem‑solving techniques.
• Work from established product bill of materials, wiring schematics, and layout drawings of products currently manufactured and previously manufactured products from a variety of Manufacturing Operations facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
