Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Assembler Level 3 in Mequon, WI. This 1st shift (M-F, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) role focuses on assembling pre-engineered electro-mechanical equipment control modules, wiring, and testing per blueprints and BOMs.

Responsibilities include preparing modules for shipment, engraving, labeling, and handling heavy gauge wiring. Candidates should read schematics, follow defined processes, and work with defined tooling.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly is preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and follow wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic or electro-mechanical modules on an assembly line.
  • Follow drawings and instructions to install wiring, components and hand solder as required.
  • Support production with engraving, labeling and shipment prep.
  • Overtime up to ~20 hours/week is expected.

This is a 1st Shift role (M-F, 6 :00AM – 2:00PM ), in the 457 department with a starting rate of $21.85 per hour.Job Summary:Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, componentinstallation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holdingtolerances to blueprint specifications.Responsibilities and Essential Functions:This position performs repetitive assembly of pre-engineered electro-mechanical equipment control modules. Working from hard copy and electronic assembly documentation and instructions, the position follows established sequencing of hardware and wiring installations using predefined tools and fixtures. This position will also provide manufacturing order support including engraving, labels, and reports, handle heavy gauge electrical wiring and plumbing routing and assembly in repetitive product manufacturing. This position evaluates unique assembly and disassembly requirements and prepare an approach based upon safe work practices, cleans modules, restores painted surfaces, and performs general preparation prior to product shipment.The position takes direction from manufacturing team leads in assigned workstations, follows instructions provided by a Tester to perform rework of product test anomalies and performs general preparation prior to product shipment. Position working environment is standardized assembly with paced productivity requirements and assessing products returned from customers for service and plan restoration of control modules. Working with continuous leadership in a production environment, the position is held to the highest standards in, and compliance with, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, procedures, policies, and metrics. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 20 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.Skills:Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hardcopy drawings and work instructions.Follow standardized methods of work to accomplish an established set of assembly tasksAssemble components and sub-assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in defined time frameUse tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Wire Strippers, Wire Luggers, Hand Tools, Fully Automated Test Systems, Torque Drivers, Lifting Fixtures, and Hoist & CraneComfortable working from elevated surfacesAbility to operate independently and productively with minimum supervisionAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingDemonstrated understanding of, and ability to perform, reading of electrical schematics, standard component placements, assembly from workmanship standards and guidelines.Demonstrated understanding and logical approach to analyses and problem solving techniquesWork from established product bill of materials, wiring schematics, and layout drawings of products currently manufactured and previously manufactured products from a variety of Manufacturing Operations facilitiesBasic computer literacyBasic ability to read, write and speak EnglishMinimum Qualifications: You Will HaveA minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 2 years of verified related experienceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
