Job summary

Viant Medical is seeking an Assembler I for the 2nd shift to assemble basic medical devices in our ISO 13485 environment. You will follow documented procedures, ensure quality and throughput, and support a clean, organized workstation. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement as you gain proficiency.

The role offers competitive pay of $15 base with an 8% differential, totaling $16.20 per hour, and a benefits package on date of hire, including health, 401(k), PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not required; paid on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to read/write English and follow documented procedures.
• Able to operate assembly equipment in a controlled ISO 13485 environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs assembly and/or packaging per approved documentation and training.
• Reviews documentation for production and quality compliance.
• Maintains cleanliness of workstation per quality systems.
• Maintains high standards in quality, throughput, and attendance.
• Completes tasks with minimal supervision after training.

Hours:

Monday – Thursday 4:15 PM - 2:45 AM, occasional OT Fridays

Compensation:

Base Pay at $15 per hour with additional 8% differential pay (total of $16.20 per hour).

Position Description:

Assembles basic medical devices in a controlled ISO 13485 environment, using documented procedures. Maintains high quality and throughput levels that support medical device finished goods manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs assembly and/or packaging operations per approved documentation and training.
• Applies acquired knowledge of company’s quality system to complete and review required documentation.
• Inspects product and paperwork for compliance to production and quality standards.
• Performs daily cleaning of workstation and work areas per quality systems requirements.
• Maintains high standards in quality, throughput, and attendance.
• Achieves acceptable level of proficiency on trained operations.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Experience:

• Possesses communication skills sufficient to read and write clearly and distinctly in English.
• Demonstrates understanding of the product and process flow for assigned work area.

Physical Requirements:

• Light physical activity performing non-strenuous, day-to-day activities of a primarily productive nature.
• Moderate lifting (20 lbs.), carrying (10 lbs.), bending, and prolonged sitting. Requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items; work with fingers, hands, and arms; and perceive attributes of objects and material.
• Intensive, repetitive handwork for prolonged periods.
• Requires good eyesight with or without corrective lenses and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Well-lighted, air-conditioned, indoor laboratory/production setting with adequate ventilation.
