Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Indiana seeks a hands-on Quality Operations Associate for Metal Case Assembly. You will assemble metal cases, inspect products, read blueprints, and use calipers/micrometers to ensure quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience with small hand tools. Training others may be required, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Summary Of Position

• Responsible for all activities for quality operations of Metal Case Assembly.

Essential Functions

• Assembly of metal cases including insertion of rivets, brackets, and miscellaneous hardware.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation.
• Testing, inspection, and packaging of product.
• Metal finishing, prototype running, and other metal case production work.
• Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Experience/Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience using small hand tools preferred.

Skills

• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers.
