Medical Device Assembler II

Location:Plymouth, MN
Schedule:Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM

Position Overview

We are hiring experiencedMedical Device Assemblersto join our manufacturing team in Plymouth. This is a hands-on production role focused on theassembly, inspection, testing, and packaging of high-quality medical devices and components.

The ideal candidate has previous medical device manufacturing experience, excellent hand dexterity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately while following detailed procedures and quality requirements.

Medical device assembly experience is required.Candidates with experience assemblingcatheters, small components, or other precision medical devicesare strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble medical devices and precision components according to documented procedures and work instructions
  • Perform detailed assembly using hand tools and other production equipment
  • Frequently use amicroscopefor precision assembly and visual inspection
  • Perform visual inspections and precision measurements of components and finished assemblies
  • Complete quality and production documentation accurately
  • FollowGDP/GMPrequirements, SOPs, safety procedures, and manufacturing standards
  • Operate computerized testing equipment as required
  • Perform repairs or corrections to devices and components using microscopes and applicable tools
  • Perform activities such as adhesive bonding, soldering, casting/coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging depending on the assigned manufacturing area
  • Clean tools and equipment according to documented procedures
  • Properly dispose of hazardous waste in designated areas
  • Ensure finished products are accurately assembled, inspected, packaged, and documented
  • Work effectively as part of a manufacturing cell and meet production and quality expectations
What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • At least1 year of medical device manufacturing experience; 2+ years preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Ability to work with small components and perform precision assembly
  • Experience following detailed work instructions, SOPs, and standardized procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality inspection skills
  • Basic documentation and recordkeeping experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions at approximately a7th-grade level
  • Ability to make sound decisions and prioritize tasks with limited supervision

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of medical device assembly experience
  • Catheter or small-component assembly experience
  • Microscope experience
  • Experience in aGDP/GMP manufacturing environment
  • Experience with precision measurements, hand tools, soldering, adhesive bonding, or medical device testing
Work Environment
  • Primarily seated:approximately 70–80% sitting and 20–30% standing, depending on task rotation
  • Frequent microscope use
  • Lifting requirements are minimal; team lifting isnot typically required
  • Depending on the assigned area, work may be performed in a controlled cleanroom environment
  • Work is performed as part of a manufacturing team with close attention to safety, quality, and production requirements
